The Radical Difference of ‘Radical Something’
Social Media is everywhere these days and has proven to be a big plus in the world of entertainment. The industry is changing so everyone is looking for new ways to branch out, network, and be heard/seen. Music is no exception. Social Media can be a valuable tool for artists. The band Radical Something is a perfect example of this. They have an excellent social media presence as well as a genuine interest in the digital social world.
I have been enjoying their music for a while now, ever since I was introduced to them by Holly Marie Combs (Pretty Little Liars, Charmed, Picket Fences). When it was announced that they would be performing a show in NYC at Webster Hall, I just had to get a ticket. I knew they would be amazing live because their recorded music has no tricks to it. The voices of Josh Cocktail and Loggy compliment each other perfectly and DJ Big Red provides excellent flavor.
As I expected, they sounded awesome and the show was full of energy with lots of audience interaction. See, besides being super talented, they are also a nice group of guys. Very laid back and personable. I especially love to see people like this succeed. So many individuals can get too full of themselves or lose touch with who they really are along the way. Not here, they are very much the guys next door. The music has a positive message and is for all ages. How many artists can we say THAT about?
Heres another interesting thing about the group, does your favorite band have their own video game? Odds are, they dont, but if they follow the lead of Radical Something they just may have one soon. The game is based on their song Escape and the object is to click on certain words as they are being sung. The more points you earn, the more people will follow you into the ocean to swim. You can check it out for yourself here.
