Hines Ward of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ arrested for DUI

Ward, 35, was arrested at around 3:41 a.m. Saturday outside Atlanta and booked at the DeKalb County jail. Details of the arrest have not been made available; a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office told the AP that paperwork related to the case has been turned over to the court and that no further information could be shared.
Ward was released on $1,000 bond, according to the sheriff’s office. People reports that Ward’s friend Corey Allen posted the bail money.
Ward and his dance partner Kym Johnson won “Dancing With the Stars” in May. The footballer was known for his dancing skills, his wide smile and his supportiveness of Johnson as she recovered from an accident toward the end of the “DWTS” season.
